Larry Saperstein, 'High School Musical: The Musical - The Series' - The TV Dudes Interview

This week, Les chats with 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' actor Larry Saperstein. This spring, Larry can be seen starring opposite Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett in the second season of the Disney+ series, as Ricky’s (Bassett) best friend and wingman, Big Red.  The show follows the students at East High School, where the original two-time Emmy Award-winning “High School Musical” film franchise was filmed.  Larry also recently starred as Timmy in the first season of BET’s “First Wives Club,” and during his sophomore year of college, he starred in the indie feature film, “Porno,” which made its global premiere at Austin's own South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival in 2019. We talk about all that, plus Larry's favorite Disney songs, and a whole lot more. Check it out!

A Little Self-Hatred

This week we're talking about self hatred. The self hatred that drives Randy and Les to try anime over and over again, with Bunny Drop on Funimation. The particular blend of narcissism and self-loathing that is Dave, returning for season 2 on HULU. The internalized hatred for everyone including herself in Physical on Apple+. And the literal hatred of a variant of yourself in Loki on Disney+.
